Michelle Hoffmann, Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in the life sciences industry, helping
companies understand the value of new therapies and new areas of medicine by delivering
assessments and developing crucial growth strategies aimed at driving success. Her work has
spanned a breadth of company sizes and stages, from helping emerging venture-backed clients
develop rational valuation and liquidity planning strategies, to larger, well-established clients
craft growth and franchise strategies in the health and biotech sector.
Prior to her time with the Chicago Biomedical Consortium serving as Executive Director, Dr. Hoffmann held various roles of increasing
responsibility at Back Bay Financial Advisors and was Vice President for 4 years. She has earned a B.Sc. in Biology from Cornell University
and a Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience from UC Berkeley.
